Lightning strikes the spire of the Fernsehturm.
Monday 0147 am- Thunderstorms were forecast all over the cities and states of UIT.In Berlina,the famous Fernsehturm spire has been damaged by a lightning strike during that incident.The top of the spire caught fire shortly after the strike but the flames died off due to the strong winds and heavy downpour.In addition,television and radio signals were disrupted around the Berlina-Zenhofsviertel area.Efforts began to repair the spire,which would prove to be a long and expensive task and final calculations count that the spire must be repaired at a cost of € 780 000.
